Makebia has over 16 years of combined work experience with adolescents, teens, and adults and, 8 years of post-graduate experience providing clinical assessments and counseling services. Her experience entails working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, substance use, environmental stress, homelessness, and other co-occurring disorders. Makebia believes that clients are the experts in their own lives and what they need to make changes. She also believes in meeting clients at whatever stage of change they’re in, as it is imperative to holistically address the needs of each client with a person-centered approach.
